Life Destiny?
Have you ever wondered: What is our purpose in life; why are we here on
Earth; what will my destiny or fate be?
To
discover my destiny I must become aware of my true self: Whom I’m and
what I want in life. Getting in touch with my true self is crucial,
otherwise I can wander aimlessly throughout life, having no direction
and few accomplishments.
I can tell right away if I’m fulfilling
my destiny by asking myself: "Is this the life I want to live?" When
I’m graduated from high school, is the life I’m currently living, what
I envisioned for myself? Even before I answer, there are clues as to
whether or not I’m fulfilling my destiny. If I’m involved in any kind
of substance abuse, suffer from drastic mood swings, are continually
depressed, or frequently tired for no reason, then the chances are very
high that I’m not living the life meant for myself. More than likely,
I’m living a life that pleases others, but not myself. I’m in a "rut"
and need help.
Some people may be scared to find their true
self for fear that they are destined to be poor or homeless or unhappy.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The only way I can be truly
happy and successful is to be my true self. Taking what I perceive to
be a "safe route", such as staying in a dead-end job because of the
salary and benefits, does not guarantee I’m happy, successful life. On
the contrary, it makes my present life even more unbearable. There’s a
good reason why the divorce rate, the level of employee absenteeism,
and the overall rate of drug and alcohol abuse is so high: People are
unhappy with their lives! I do not need a Ph.D. in psychology to figure
out that well-balanced, happy people do not abuse themselves and other
people.
My destiny is under my own control. I can create any
kind of life I want, at any time and under any circumstances. The life
I create, however, will not be satisfying unless it is based upon what
my inner self needs and wants, in other words, my passions, the core of
my inner being. It is crucial that what I want in life must be an
actual reflection of whom I really are, not just based upon what my
parents, friends, or anyone else wants.
How about you? Ever think about your own D E S T I N Y?
